things are going great here at the shop, we are meeting more crafty crafters each day which is great as it keeps changing the diversity we have here at the shop! every time we travel we are also checking out other handmade shops, and recently just brought some letterpress cards/goodies from our friend Diane in Portland Maine from her shop Ferdinand!
many of you have been asking about our craft classes...well here is the deal....as of Nov 15th i am going per diem at my job at highland hospital (i am still a part-time ICU nurse..whoa!) so that means i will now have plenty of time to devote to more crafting! i really wanted to start the classes off right and just found i had too much on my plate when starting this but...it is coming..i promise! we have many great people excited to teach and i am excited to get it started!
so. the newest things going on are: we are a major sponsor for MayDay Underground this year, and if you don't know about it, man you are going to be excited i told you! MayDay is a two day event on November 7 & 8 at the Village Gate from 10-5pm. It is a great place to start your holiday shopping and get some cool handmade stuff from local people! It is a free event to attend and the first 25 people each day get a swag bag, and there are raffles throughout the shopping day as well!
the second major event coming up is: A Handmade Holiday in The Historic German House in the South Wedge as a part of the "It's a Wonderful Life in the Wedge" festival. This will be on Saturday December 5th from 11am-4pm. There are live christmas trees and wreaths for sale in Star Alley (right next to Little Button Craft & Press), Carolers, Carriage Rides, SANTA, as well as great deals from all the local businesses in the South Wedge! In the German House you will find some of the best handmade local craft for sale perfect for the holidays...if you are like me when you shop it's ...one for me...one for somebody else :)
anyhow that's all that's currently happening...thanks again for stopping in...and things are always changing so come in and say hi!
