Zines can take many forms, but they are rooted in DIY & accessible production, freedom of the press, and low-budget for the maker and audience. In this workshop, participants will learn about how zines have evolved over time and see many examples for inspiration. Through demonstrations, you'll learn a few great bookbinding structures for zines and spend time designing your own with techniques of collage, drawing, writing, stenciling, and more. If digital design is your jam, bring a device along. You'll leave with a zine that can be reproduced with your favorite photocopier.
