Feeling overwhelmed by trying to learn crochet on your own? No need to worry, we’re here to help! Join us for this introductory class, where you will learn all the crochet basics. In this 101 class, you’ll learn how to:
- Find the right yarn for your hook size
- Tie a slip knot
- Chain stitch
- Single and double crochet
- The basics of reading a pattern
You’ll leave having practiced these skills, and with a pattern to try your hand at at home!
Hook, yarn, and instruction sheets provided. If you have fine motor difficulties or need a built up hook, please contact Megan to discuss accommodations.

What Class is This? Crochet Basics - In this class you will learn to

Level of Experience Required: This is a beginner friendly class, no experience required.
What Should I Bring?: Yarn and a crochet hook will be provided for you.
Cost: $40
What to Anticipate: You’ll have a comfy seat or bench to sit on at a shared table. You will also see a large projector screen livestreaming the instructor’s hands as they teach each skill. You will have the opportunity to ask questions as well as ask for a skill to be repeated if need be.
Parking: There is free parking along South Avenue, as well as on the side streets surrounding our block. There are also two lots for parking on South Ave.
